In May 2007 Sue Joof and Margaret Maybury, both residents of the Gambia,
were approached by the Elders of The Immaculate Heart of Mary in Ghana Town
and their help sought.
The Elders were worried that their nursery school had become so run down
that it was no longer viable. The building was old and inadequate, it had
little furniture, and no resources.
Without intervention it would close and a potentially valuable resource
would be lost for ever.
This site tells the story of that intervention.
